How good are Friday's?.. even better when a few new lines step aboard

Pirate life - Boysenberry Dark Sour 6.0%
The delicate, yet unmistakable fruit aroma follows through to the palate where the evident tartness is balanced by the blend of caramelised and roasted malts, wheat and oats that create a smooth finish. At 6%, the flavours softly linger. Awesome taste, a deep, smoky, very light fruit taste.
Pirate life x Jujubes - Ruby Jujube Porter 6.5%
The Jujube is a sweet, berrylike fruit found commonly throughout Eurasia. Turns out, it tastes bloody good in a porter. To begin, pale, crystal and roasted malts are combined with hot water to create a rich wort. Taiheke hops are then introduced, followed by seventy five litres of Jujube syrup – courtesy of our mates at Jujubes SA. Once in tank, a clean ale yeast brings it all together. The beer is dark brown, with ruby shimmers. Aromas of liquorice and toffee apple form the nose, with lifted notes of sweet fig. It’s silky on the palate, with light roast characters, cola and a hint of treacle.
