Innate x Copper & Oak Good Oke Oaked IPA

While the classic style was pulled back towards a straight-ahead IPA by Innate’s Joel Nash to allow for better oak harmony, the final expression also reflects its name, Good Oke, a South African term for a good mate, and a nod to the brothers' SA and Portuguese heritage.

A 50/50 mix of Maris Otter and Australian pilsner malt provides a medium-bodied base for American oak cubes and chips – medium and light toast respectively – to deliver a pronounced yet delicate vanilla and supporting oak coconut aroma, before the beer underwent a judicious dry-hopping with Centennial, Strata and Amarillo, which work cohesively. Bitterness is ample, with a touch of resin, before a dry, vanilla-spiked finish. - Crafty Pint
